APL nextED, Inc. (“APL,” “we,” or “us”) knows that you care how information about you is used and shared. This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected by APL when you the services provided on or in connection with www.aplnexted.com (our “Service”), how the information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of information. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given them in our Terms and Conditions. The use of information collected through our Service shall be limited to the purpose of providing our Service to you.
Information We Collect
User-Provided Information:
You provide us information about yourself, such as your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, if you register for an account with or respond to a post on or through our Service. You may provide additional personal information such as your resume, contact information, availability, certifications, salary requirements, former employers, recommendations or references, links to publications, picture or video. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses. We may also retain any messages you send through our Service. You may provide us information in User Content you post to our Service.
Once you sign up for our Service we allow you to provide additional information about yourself and other people. The additional information we may collect is as follows; information about Candidates such as their name, email address, phone number, resume, experience, education, country and zip code. You may also export your Candidates to an excel spreadsheet to make it easier to manage. Information about additional users you wish to allow access to our Service may include their name and email address. Do not include sensitive information, such as your social security number or banking information.
We will ask you to provide information about hiring institutions that may be used on job pages. This includes, but is not limited to: Name of Educational Institution, Website, Logo and a description of the institution. If you upload a picture or video, please note that this photo or video may be seen by users of the site and the institutions to which you have submitted your application.
When you download and use our Services, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system version, and the device identifier (or “UDID”).
Cookies Information:
When you visit our Service, we may send one or more cookies – a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets APL help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey anonymous information about how you browse our Service to us. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of our Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
Log File Information:
Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
Clear Gifs Information:
When you use our Service, APL or our third party analytics providers may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users anonymously and help us better manage content on our site by informing us of what content is effective. No personally identifiable information from your APL account is collected using these clear gifs. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make APL better for our users.
Tracking across Third Party Websites
We do not track our users across third party websites. However, some third party websites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, certain website browsers allow you to set the DNT signal on your browser so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked.
Third Party Services
APL uses third party analytics services to help understand use of our Service. These third party analytics services collect the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address. Their use of this information is governed by their Privacy Policy.
How We Use Your Information
If you are an Employer: we use the personal information you submit to create your account, allow you to add Candidates and other users, operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of our Service. We use this information to allow you to better manage who is able to access our Service, view resumes, view posted jobs, view archived jobs, create a new job, determine who may be the right fit as a Candidate for the positions you have open, and to contact you in response to your inquiries.
If you are a Candidate User: we use the personal information you submit to create your account, allow you to view, respond to, and save, job postings, allow Employers to respond to your job posting responses, allow you to post and share your resume on our Service, provide you with job recommendations based upon your history or preferences, and to contact you in response to your inquiries.
By providing APL your email address, you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on our Service to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. We may use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of our Service, or special offers. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out or change your preferences in your Account page (for Employers) or by following the opt-out instructions in the message. Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or offers. You may not opt out of Service-related e-mails.
APL may use certain information about you and/or your User Content internally for purposes such as analyzing how our Service is used, diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing content.
APL reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor the User Content you post on our Service. We reserve the right to remove any such information or material for any reason or no reason, including without limitation if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such information or material violates, or may violate, any applicable law or our Terms and Conditions, or to protect or defend our rights or property or those of any third party. APL also reserves the right to remove information upon the request of any third party.
We use cookies, clear gifs, and log file information to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our Service; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; (e) diagnose or fix technology problems reported by our Users or engineers that are associated with certain IP addresses; (f) help you efficiently access your information after you sign in; and (h) track User Content and Users to the extent necessary to comply as a service provider with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable laws.
How We Share Your Information
Personally Identifiable Information:
APL will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information with third parties other than as disclosed within this privacy policy. APL may share your personally identifiable information with third parties who are assisting us in providing our Service to you. The types of third parties who we may share your personally identifiable information are credit card processing company, customer service provider, and an email service provider. If we do this, such third parties’ use of your information will be bound by this Privacy Policy. We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of APL (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers). We will require that such hosting providers to use industry standard methods to safeguard such personal information, but we cannot be responsible for any breaches or unauthorized disclosures by such hosting providers.
Any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to our Service, such as User Content, becomes available to the public. If you remove information that you posted to our Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of our Service, or if other Users have copied or saved that information. If you respond to a job posting on our Service, we will share your response with the Employer that posted the job.
As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings, including those related to our Service. If we sell some or all of our Service, the buyer may need information about users of the Service in order to continue operating our Service in a similar manner as before such transaction. We may transfer personal information to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets related to the Service, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information about users of our Service is among the assets transferred.

When you delete your personal information, we will retain logs and non-personal information about your activity on the Service. We will also retain an archival copy of your information which is not accessible by you or third parties on the internet. If your personal information was previously accessed by others using the Service, we are unable to delete the information from their systems.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information:
We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns for certain APL services.
APL may allow third-party ad servers or ad networks to serve advertisements on our Service. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on APL. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content. APL does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent. However, please note that if an advertiser asks APL to show an advertisement to a certain audience and you respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. In addition, third-party advertisers may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. The APL Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of such advertisers for more information.
How We Protect Your Information
APL cares about the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to APL or guarantee that your information on our Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. APL is not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any distributor.
To protect your privacy and security, we take industry-standard reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from APL, at all times.
When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Data is also stored in an encrypted form.
Compromise of Personal Information
In the event that personal information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, APL will promptly notify those persons whose personal information has been compromised, in accordance with the notification procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Your Choices About Your Information
You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through our Service, in which case APL may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may update, delete inaccuracies, or correct your account information and email preferences at any time by logging in to your account and selecting email/password. You can review, delete inaccuracies and correct the information about you that APL keeps on file by contacting us directly at info@aplnexted.com. We will respond to your request to access within 30 days.
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at info@aplnexted.com. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Children’s Privacy
APL does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on APL. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Service or the information or content contained therein. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link or widget on our website, is subject to that website’s own rules and policies.
