Gaining institutional consensus is a critical component to establishing a concrete strategic plan. Faculty, staff, students and administrators must come together to determine the best path forward and document and disseminate the plan. What comes next?

Georgia Gwinnett College rolled out a Strategic Plan in 2017, which will conclude in 2022. In this episode, Georgia Gwinnett College President Jann Joseph outlines an essential step in the strategic planning process, strategic implementation.

Georgia Gwinnett College is currently the fasted growing baccalaureate college in the country, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education 2021-2022 Almanac of Higher Education Data. The College’s enrollment increased 335 percent between 2009-2019. Collaboration between faculty, staff, and administrators becomes critical when an institution experiences rapid growth.

President Jann Joseph joins host Kathleen Gibson to detail Georgia Gwinnett College’s methods to increase faculty support and create a united community with a shared mission and vision.

Dr. Jann L. Joseph has spent her career working to increase educational opportunities and student success. She was named president of Georgia Gwinnett College in 2019. Previously, she held faculty and administrative positions at various institutions, including Grand Valley State University, Eastern Michigan University, and Indiana University – South Bend. Dr. Joseph has a diverse background of many professional and personal affiliations and currently serves on the board of several organizations.
