Valparaiso, Indiana – APL nextED kicks off 2021 with the release of new features and a new streamlined platform interface. In response to COVID and the resulting need for academic teams to be connected while working remotely, APL has released several new features to enhance the user experience.
APL nextED is a comprehensive Academic Operations Platform that centralizes workflows and data in one hub, bringing faculty, staff and administrators together to connect and collaborate. Founded by a former academic dean, the SaaS platform was built to connect and support the many stakeholders who make up the academic team at higher education institutions.
The APL faculty and institutional interfaces have been refreshed to improve the user experience, making it easier for faculty, staff and administrators to stay engaged, share information and resources, and help and support each other.
“It has been inspiring to collaborate with our partners this year as we added features and made the platform interface even more user-friendly and intuitive in response to needs arising out of COVID,” said Kathleen Gibson, CEO and founder of APL nextED. “The work we did to enhance mobile access makes great sense given the flexibility faculty, staff and administrators need today as work locations remain fluid.”
Changes to the interface include: customizable dashboard notifications, more page help tools; revamped faculty profiles; and an enhanced mobile experience. These updates and all of APL’s cloud-based features are designed to keep academic teams connected so they can collaborate to achieve their academic missions.
